I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. So when I when to pick out gifts, I picked out things that they could remember it by. I wanted them to have something that will help them remember what a great time they had at our reception and how beautiful our ceremony was. On all of my reception tables were floral centerpieces I had made up at the florist and gorgeous floral scented candles that looked as if they were covered in lace and came with a pretty little ceramic holder. I found those online along with the place card holders that were really exceptional too.
I found some precious little picture frames with beads around them that I could use for my place card holders. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be cool wedding keepsake boxes. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. I wanted our friends and family to have something they will hang on to and remember sharing our special day with us every time they use it. Since almost everyone drinks coffee or tea, I got all of the people at our reception a bistro coffee mug. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. I didn’t even have to worry about repackaging them because the containers they came in were so classy-looking already; all I did was put a decorative hang tag on every one of them.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. Our wedding cake topper was really something special. I wanted a cake topper that had some importance to us.
Playing football in a friend’s yard is what we were doing the first time we met.
