Terrific ceramic wedding favors

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

There is a lot to planning a wedding and reception, but the one thing that seems to take the longest to decide, is what to get your guests as thank you gifts. You can go with lovely crystal favors, ceramic wedding favors, and even a more practical gift like household items. Whatever your preference, I found out there are an awful lot of each to choose from.
Even for the country western themed ceremony and reception I’m planning, I have run across great possibilities for ceramic favors for our guests. You can use just about any favor made of ceramic for almost any themed wedding you are planning. I found these little black ceramic wedding trays and tea caddys that I thought were really awesome. There were ceramic wedding gifts like candle holders, awesome tea lights, vases and more. I made wedding favor shopping the last thing on my to do list, because not only is it hard to choose the right gift, but there is just so much to choose from.
So, I decided to start with the decorations for my reception tables first. Picnic tables were the choice for my country western décor, and I put red and white checked tablecloths on each with daisies in little metal buckets to use as centerpieces. I bought adorable little barbecue grills as place card holders, which I let all the guests keep after the reception. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. There were also little cowboy hats at each place setting and cowboy boot glasses for the refreshments. As far as the ceramic wedding favors go, I didn’t go with the tea caddy, instead I opted for these adorable little honey pots with hearts on the dippers. They were the perfect choice for our country western reception and they looked so cute. There were also beautiful candle holders that would have made a special most terrific ceramic wedding gift for our guests, and I almost decided on that. Our tables looked fantastic and with all the surrounding décor accessories, it looked like the perfect down home celebration.
We had little twinkle white lights hanging all around the dance area, and piles of haystacks scattered about. A cowgirl with her rope tied to her grooms rope to have him hauled off to the preacher was the wedding cake topper we chose. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. We all had a night to remember, with dancing, partying and lots of great laughs. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. For the men in the wedding party, my fiance had chosen these cool cowboy steins and thank you gifts, and I chose delicate little ceramic party favors for the ladies. But for the little flower girl and the ring boy we bought tee shirts that had flower girl and ringboy printed on them. Our wedding party and all our guests seemed to like the wedding favors we bought them.
I ordered bride and groom cowboy hats for me and my husband, a few accessories like an adorable western themed guest book and pen set, and a gorgeous wedding album to store the memories of today in. All in all, this country western themed wedding was really more than I had hoped for, it was spectacular and we all had such a great time.
