   I couldn’t believe all the awesome crystal and glass favors they had online for thank you gifts for wedding guests. Along with all the other fantastic accessories I bought for our wedding I found the perfect gifts for our friends and family too.    The centerpieces we had made up for the reception dinner had tiny hearts intermixed with roses that were white, pink, and red. The holders were basically small vases that held daisies, and then one of the petals had a slot that held the place card.
Our caterers really outdid themselves with fantastic dishes and desserts and four different salads to choose from. We got some really top-notch musicians to play at our banquet hall for the reception. We got the best band in our location thanks to some connections that my groom had. These guys could play just about anything you requested. The band made our first dance as husband and wife a very memorable moment indeed. They got some business out of it, too: someone at the wedding hired the band right then and there to come to his boy’s engagement party and perform there sometime next month.
Everything at our wedding and reception was spectacular and it just couldn’t have been better. We will have a lot of memories captured between the photographer we had there and the video that we shot of our ceremony and our first dance. The two memory books I got will be more than filled up with all of the pictures we took that day. I purchased a coffee table album to put in our family room as well. It’s really beautiful with a silver metal frame with two lovely hearts. Oh, and then I got a photo album for our honeymoon pictures as well, since I knew that Cancun would have plenty of opportunites for taking great photos. So, when it came to photos, we were all set.

It was a handsome way to design an invitation. They picked out very elegant candle holders for the unity and tapered candles, and of course there were two small hearts dangling from the unity candle. The altar looked fabulous with all the lovely flower bouquets and the candle setting. Hearts were on the sides of the church pew where the wedding tulle was attached. I’m sure that the hearts were related to the wedding day falling on Valentine’s Day. The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The tables all looked elegant with the sparkling champagne flutes and the lovely wine glasses. The bride arranged the tables beautifully. The champagne flutes were long stemmed crystal and the wine glasses were personalized with the names of the bride and groom and the date of their wedding. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. They were double hearts wedding flutes, with the two silver hearts linked together, just like on the hearts wedding invitation they sent me.
The hearts wedding cake they had made had five layers and it was delicious. It looked as good as it tasted. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. From a few pictures of the two of them, they created a look-alike cake topper figurine for each of them; it was very impressive. Something like this has to be a really super wedding keepsake.
In the end, we gave a terrific hearts wedding cake to all of the guests. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. I thought that was really a cute idea they came up with. Really, there was no shortage of awesome thoughts for the wedding. The whole hearts genre matched Valentine’s Day, but I was still surprised at how many supplies and wedding items she found to fit that theme. I still can’t get over how cool that cake topper was. That’s a great idea for a birthday or any other happy celebration. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. I’m sure the bride and groom are having a great week in Mexico too. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and checking out the photos when they get back. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.

I associated babies with childhood, and I associate childhood with Ernie singing ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One’ on Sesame Street. It seemed like a longshot, but I checked to see if there were any rubber duck favors available anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. I bought adorable little barbecue grills as place card holders, which I let all the guests keep after the reception. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. There were also little cowboy hats at each place setting and cowboy boot glasses for the refreshments. As far as the ceramic wedding favors go, I didn’t go with the tea caddy, instead I opted for these adorable little honey pots with hearts on the dippers. They were the perfect choice for our country western reception and they looked so cute. There were also beautiful candle holders that would have made a special most terrific ceramic wedding gift for our guests, and I almost decided on that. Our tables looked fantastic and with all the surrounding décor accessories, it looked like the perfect down home celebration.
We had little twinkle white lights hanging all around the dance area, and piles of haystacks scattered about. We all had a night to remember, with dancing, partying and lots of great laughs. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
